EquiGym Horse Exerciser

The EquiGym Horse Exerciser is a labor saving, horse exercising tool for horsemen. It replaces the old style "hot walking" machines, slow speed treadmills, or the need for hand walking or ponying.

EquiGym's most popular model, the 6-horse, keeps the diameter of the outer circle large enough at 68'2" to enable the machine to be utilized as a conditioning tool for walking, jogging and galloping horses in two directions. There is a comfortable 31 feet in-between the moving gates and 8 feet in-between the fences. Each gate is hinged at the top and is wired to a livestock electric fence charger that can be energized manually, as needed, at the control box with an illuminated switch.

At EquiGym, we have determined that the majority of horses need between 30 to 33 feet of space in-between the moving gates in order to exerciser comfortably. This space will dictate the number of horses that can exercise at one time within the diameter alloted for the machine. Horses can travel safely, in a tight turn at any speed, as long as the surface stays banked on the outer fence, and the bottom of the outer fence stays solidly in place. For this reason we advise that the fences be built onsite for maximum strength and with plenty of air spaces.

The Horse Exerciser goes quietly from 0 to 20 miles per hour in two directions. It uses 220-volt, single phase power, either 60 or 50 Hz. The electric fence system uses 110-volt, single phase power. The only maintenance required is to grease the two sealed bearings in the base that hold the axle once or twice per year, depending on the frequency of use.

EquiGym's owner has over 29 years experience with training and racing horses, and is available for free consultation regarding the installation and use of the machine. We can recommend a variety of all weather surfaces and fencing designs, as well as help in designing the intial training program for your horses.

EquiGym will provide Concrete Pad Plans, which also includes the Electrical Plans for the base, control box and the placement of the electrical disconnect. The Grading and Drainage Plans, Fence Dimension Plans, plus two types of Fence Construction Plans, Water Misting System Plans for both outside and under the roof installations.

Since EquiGym is the designer and manufacturer of the equipment, we custom manufacture equipment for special applications, sizes and needs.
